Temptation
"...and the devil said to Him, if you're the son of God, command these stones to turn into bread"
"Jesus answered:"It is written, men shall not live by bread alone"
Life is full of temptation.
Everyday, almost everywhere, there's bound to be something, or someone,
increasing our desire to sin.
Jesus, while on earth, wasn't spared either.
40 days and nights, after the havens opened and declared He was the beloved of daddy God,
Jesus was led by the spirit into the wilderness.
There, Jesus was tempted.
And it was then, Jesus became a classic example of how to ward of temptation.
Notice how the devil deliberately left out certain words while tempting Jesus?
"If you are the son of God..."
Missing word: Beloved.
And the holy spirit descended on him(Jesus) in a form of a dove,
and a voice from heaven said
"You are my beloved Son, and I am fully pleased with you"
Also, noticed how Jesus often referred back to the scriptures?
"It is written: 'Man does not live on bread alone."
"It is written: 'Worship the Lord your God and serve him only"
"It is written: 'It says: 'Do not put the Lord your God to the test."
Temptations are real.
All things are permissible, but not all are beneficial.
Sometimes, all we need to do is constantly remind ourselves of our identity:
The Beloved child of daddy God.
If need be, spend more time with the scriptures.
Its a weapon powerful beyond our imagination.
Above all, we're only human.
None is perfect.
To err is human, to forgive is divine.
That is why the Divine came and died for our forgiveness.
Remember: There is therefor now NO condemnation, for those who're in Christ Jesus
(Romans 8:1)
