Beating The Odds
"so Ruth the moabitees said to Naom, "Please let me go to the field and glen heads of grain after him in whose sight I may find favor." And he said: "Go my daughter.""
(Ruth 2:2)
In the bible, Ruth was a poor moabitees.
Her husband was dead, and she's left to fend for herself, with her mother-in-law.
Being in a foreigner in that land certainly did not help her in her quest for a better life.
And when all else fails, God doesn't.
The field she was gleaning from, belonged to the richest man in Bethlehem - Boaz.
And when she tought she had struck gold, God had better things for her.
Gleaning from the field is no way for a child of God to earn a living.
God had Boaz see the favor He had on Ruth, and they got married.
And if that was not enough,
check the genology of Ruth.
Somewhere along the line, you see the name of a shepherd boy who took down goliath,
and also the name of our kinsmen redeemer-Jesus.
Today, what do you see yourself as?
The natural? or the way God sees you?
This determines the kind of life you want to live.
Just as it was on Ruth, Daddy God is shining His favor upon you.
It is this favor inside you, that you manifest,
that allows those around you to shine as well.
Stop keeping the light!
When I see you smile, Jesus, I can face the world.
