Security.
As He is, so are we in this world.
(1 John 4:17)
People often say,
"a person's true character is defined as what he does when nobody's watching."
So, who exactly are we?
Some people have high self esteem. Thus no problem with their identity.
Some base their identity on the quantity of their wealth.
Some base their identity on the gadgets they have.
Some base their identity on the people they hang out with.
And some have a really low self esteem, they don't bother finding out who they really are.
Many times, we base our identity on man's approval of us.
Our actions, our assets, our dressing etc.
Does that really define who we are?
If that's case, without the above mentioned, have we lost our identity?
My stand on this matter is this.
As a believer, our identity is no longer based upon worldy approval, or our belongings.
Our identity is based on the finished work of Christ,
deeming us once again, children of God.
Easier said than done at times.
But the fact cannot be changed.
You, who is reading this,
are a child of The Lord most high.
