Listen

"Anyone with ears to hear should listen and understand!"
(Matthew 11:15)
We all have friends.
Some not so close.
Some so close, we can complete each other sentences.

And often we love these friends so much,
when they come to us for help,
we are too quick to offer advice.
In some cases, we even blame them for the problem they're in.
Beloved, it isn't our duty to judge,
neither is it to offer advice.
The best way to handle a friend with a need,
is to put yourself in his shoes,
by listening to his plight.

Listen with grace, and not with an absent heart,
or one filled with judgment.

A friend in need is a friend indeed.

There wasn't a any records of Jesus ignoring people's plight,
and giving off advices immediately.
He listens first.
Beloved, don't walk in front of me, I may not follow.
Don't walk behind me, I may not lead.
Walk beside me, and be my friend.

And this message glorifies Jesus.
