Trees.
"I know what I'm doing. I have it all planned out—plans to take care of you, not abandon you, plans to give you the future you hope for."
(Jeremiah 29:11)
In a certain forest, were 3 trees.
They were good friends.
One after noon, they were sharing about their dreams.
"I'd like to become a treasure box one day,
with gold, silver and other precious items in me.
On the outside I'd be locked and decorated,
so everyone would be dying to see what's inside me."
Said the first tree.
"I'd like to become a mighty ship,
braving the storms,
bringing people across the sea safely."
Said the second.
"I want to become a tall statue.
In memory of some one great,
and everyday people will flock to come and see me."
said the third
And they prayed about their dreams.
One day, a wood cutter came.
cut them all down, and sent them to different places.
First tree was made into a box.
But into a box placed in a barn,
where animals ate from.
Second was made into a small fishing boat,
and served the needs of a few fishermen.
3rd was left somewhere in a prison.
At that point, all three felt hopeless, forsaken,
and thought daddy God had forgotten them.
One night a couple was about to give birth.
There wasn't an inn insight.
They settled in the barn where 1st tree was,
and placed their newborn into the box made out of 1st tree.
above them, a bright shining star.
Many years later, that same baby was crossing the river in the boat made from 2nd tree.
They hit the storm, and 2nd tree was on the verge of breaking.
That baby, now a man, rose from his sleep,
and stopped the storm.
A few years after, 3rd tree woke up and found himself being carried by that same man.
He was limping and was constantly being jeered at as he walked up the hill.
At the top, that man was nailed onto 3rd tree,
between 2 thieves.
Beloved, we all have dreams.
And with these dreams Daddy God has bigger plans for us.
Sometimes we find ourselves in situations opposite from what we dream of.
But that doesn't mean Daddy God has forgotten us.
That baby, that man in the story, was Jesus.
And This Message, Glorifies Jesus.
