The Servant King
""Now come and have some breakfast!" Jesus said. None of the disciples dared to ask him, "Who are you?" They knew it was the Lord."
(John 21:12)
Peter knew he himself was a goner.
"Whoever denies me before men, I'll deny him before my father"
These words kept ringing through his mind as he recalled the 3 times,
he denied knowing someone he said he was willing to die for - Jesus.
With nowhere to go,
he went back to where he first began, fishing.
And on one morning, out at the sea,
He and his crew saw a figure on shore,
starting a fire, cooking some fish,
seemingly preparing breakfast.
"Throw your net to the other side"
the man cried.
And Peter knew it was Jesus.
And Jesus sat him down, to have breakfast with him.
Many times, I marvel at the things Jesus does.
The son of God, willing to stoop down to our level to serve us.
To wash our feet, to make us breakfast.
Somehow I feel, it's through these little things that Jesus does for us,
that empowers us to live a victorious life.
It was through those acts of grace,
Peter went from denying Jesus 3 times,
to Preaching Jesus and saving 3000 people.
Beloved, whatever you do,
wherever you're serving,
know that you're not doing it to gain merit from Daddy God,
but because He sent His son to first serve you.
And This Message, Glorifies Jesus.
