Persecuted not Abandoned

"There was a plot afoot among the Gentiles and Jews, together with their leaders, to mistreat them and stone them. But they found out about it and fled to the Lycaonian cities of Lystra and Derbe and to the surrounding country, where they continued to preach the good news."
(Acts 14:4-7)
Are we really too busy to spend time with God?
Or is it that we've made Him a little too insignificant?

I happened to chance upon a video,
about a how a few Christians were persecuted,
but yet still choose to hold on to their faith.

North Korea - one of the few remaining communist Stalinist states.
There, people are trained from young and forced to worship 1 person,
their leader.

Worship anything else,
and you face eminent death,
along with the suffering of 3 generations of your family.

Yet, there are a special few who stare death back in the eye,
and choose to hold steadfast in their faith in Jesus,
and rely on His grace to pull them through.

What really moved me,
was how they related their persecution to that of Paul in the bible,
and the grace message they carry with them.
Through all the persecution and loss of loved ones,
they mentioned that they pray everyday not that bad things will happen to their persecutors,
but that they'd receive Jesus one day too.
That, coming from people who have lost loved ones because of their faith,
can only be from a revelation of Jesus love and grace.
With that being said, they still continue to worship and read their bibles,
risking death and lives of their family.
How about you, beloved?
Are you taking religious freedom here for granted?

After all, the freedom here would be a luxury to them.
Don't waste it.

And This Message, Glorifies Jesus.
